 FAQs

  • Coaching is a partnership between coach and client to engage in a thought provoking and creative process that inspires a client to maximize their personal and professional potential.

Executive Coaching is becoming more widely known and used. It is undertaken at over 50% of today’s Fortune 500 companies. As a student of the Executive Coaching Program at Royal Roads University, I am aligned with the competencies of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and I am educated and trained by practicing Executive Coaches certified to the highest level available by the ICF.

Executive Coaching is a process that holds the Client as capable. The client knows their organization and their issues the best. As a coach I ask the questions to explore, and I make observations as invitations for inquiry and discovery.

Executive Coaching is a process concerned with clear goals and outcomes. Without the contract of an outcome, a coaching session becomes just a nice conversation. Coaching is about meaningful impact and results. In any conversation it is expected a client takes something of value to impact their specific outcome.

Executive Coaching is fundamentally concerned about the future. A coach might facilitate an action plan, a strategy, or spend time as a sounding board. The time though is spent committing to navigating forward with observations and powerful questions.

    What Executive Coaching is NOT:

Executive Coaching is a non-directive process. This makes coaches different than Consultants, Strategists, Problem Solvers and Advisors. These roles may be important roles, but they provide a value that is different than what executive coaching provides.
